The Artist
My name is Nicolas Friedrich Hohlt. After my apprenticeship as a carpenter, I moved to Bremen to study integrated design at the HfK. Alongside many great people, I got to know a certain attitude there. As designers, we are not solely responsible for ensuring that an object functions well or looks beautiful. We are jointly responsible for establishing sustainable materials and critically questioning structures. We can generate attention and try to create certain emotions. In the end, we don’t just design a product, but an added value for our world and our society.
