text about project
“Fullfill” is an innovative interactive art project that explores the concept of “particle systems” in dynamic creative programming through audio visualization. Inspired by the idea that all matter is formed by particles, this project brings this concept to life through the fusion of art and technology.
The installation captures an image of the guest at regular intervals using a camera, with flying balls representing particles of a being. These particles respond to sound input through a microphone, enabling guests to call them out and fulfill the full-self image before the next image is captured.
As guests interact with the installation, they’ll experience the connection between sound, movement, and visual expression. The dynamic and ever-changing nature of the particle system creates a mesmerizing and immersive experience, challenging guests to explore their full-self and the relationships between themselves and the particles that form them.
“Fullfill” is an art project that combines technology, sound, and visual art to create a unique and engaging experience for the audience. I hope it can inspire and encourage guests to interact with the installation and discover new ways to connect with technology through art.
Statement ABOUT the Artist
My name is Kui XU and I’m a digital media master student with a passion for interaction design. I’m currently studying at Uni-Bremen and HFK, where I’m exploring the intersection of technology, creativity, and human-computer interaction.
Graduated as a digital media technology student, I believe that all forms of media can be utilized as a means to interact with users, including both audio and visual mediums. I am particularly fascinated by the ways in which audio can be used to enhance our digital experiences, and I am passionate about creating interactive audio experiences that engage users on multiple channels. My goal is to develop intuitive and dynamic audio visualizations that respond to user input, resulting in engaging and immersive experiences.
Ultimately, I strive to create innovative and meaningful audio experiences that allow people to connect with technology in new and exciting ways. In my experience, the power of audio is often underestimated in the digital realm. It is not uncommon to see audiences walking into a digital media exhibition hall silently and afraid of interaction. Therefore, I am committed to breaking down these barriers and using the power of audio to bring people closer to technology.
